Full Moon in Taurus | Lunar Eclipse
Spiritual and Material Release & Abundance
On October 28th, 2023, we will experience a Full Moon lunar eclipse in the sign of Taurus at 5 degrees. A lunar eclipse happens when the Sun and Moon are opposite each other at the time of a Full Moon, with Earth in the middle, creating a bit of conflict between the two energies. The number five represents change and transformation.
The Sun will be in the sign of Scorpio, which is all about our hidden emotions, things we keep to ourselves, and our deep subconscious. Whereas Taurus is about how we relate to the physical things in our outer reality like our belongings, people we love, and our money, Scorpio is about learning to detach from those things, going inside of ourselves, and sharing resources.
With the Earth blocking the Sun’s direct light and the Full Moon residing in Taurus for the eclipse, there’s a lot of Earth energy; however, the Scorpio Sun and the number five are more spiritual and flowing. These opposing energies will illuminate your connection to the material realm and what you have created in it. How does your outer reality relate to your inner reality?
Taurus rules our physical possessions which include food and the things that bring us pleasure and comfort. It also rules money and how we make a living and personal finances that bring security and stability. Scorpio rules secrets, the psyche, and investments (investments have to do with shared resources or other people’s money).
Venus governs Libra, which was the solar eclipse we had two weeks ago on October 14th, and she also governs Taurus. So there could also be some illumination around relationships and values. With the Scorpio Sun, this could mean that secret relationships or affairs could come to light or dissolve entirely.
Individually.
On an individual level, we may experience some abrupt changes to our financial situations and how we use our money. We may feel like investing in different forms of money such as precious metals or cryptocurrencies. This could also impact the way in which we trade money, such as bartering and exchanging. We might also want to find different sources of creating wealth.
Investments or financial opportunities could arise or come to completion and we could be guided to people and communities that resonate more with us, letting go of the ones that don’t anymore. Generosity and coming together around shared resources are highlighted during this eclipse.
We may feel the need to look inward and do some shadow work. What emotions might need healing? Are your emotions causing unhealthy mental patterns? Take a moment to sit with yourself and reflect and release the emotions that you might be holding onto that don’t serve your highest good. Remember to say, “thank you” to the emotion for showing up for you but it’s time to let go.
We could also reflect on the food we’re eating and our diet and become inspired to grow our own food or eat healthier in general. This eclipse is a time when the light will shine on our physical habits and addictions, also revealing why we’re doing those things in the first place. Do our belongings, the food we eat, and the things we are physically attached to align with our values?
Collectively.
From a collective view, this eclipse could bring transformation around the financial system and how we use our money globally. Secrets about what our fiat system really is (paper money - like monopoly) and ways we could evolve in this area could be more widespread. Think BRICS.
Even our food and water supply have been tainted and are not as healthy as we may presume they are. Chemicals and heavy metals that don’t belong in our diet have been in our food and water for many, many years. If we can see this as a collective, we could start changing our food and water supply and growing our own food at home. This is where bartering could be a more popular form of energy exchange.
We might be more open to talking about our deep emotional traumas and the conspiracy “theories” people have been talking about, especially from the last three years, as Mercury (the messenger) is sitting close to the Sun during this eclipse. Communicating about these topics, as well as money, food, and values, is important on a global level.
Jupiter is also conjunct (right beside) the Full Moon, expanding this energy and bringing opportunity and luck to what needs to be released within our personal reality as well as the collective. Full Moons are times to let go and surrender and with Jupiter right beside it, there is support and learning to be had around your releases at this time.
This lunar eclipse is a very powerful energy and the effects could last about six months, just like the solar eclipse. We could feel a little uneasy emotionally, so it’s a good time to ground yourself and stay connected to your body. Be in tune with how you’re feeling and what you need that can bring you pleasure and comfort in a healthy way.
This is a great time to release what you don’t want or need in your physical reality and do some inner healing work. The cosmos are supporting you!
If we can do this work, there will be plenty of opportunities for success and abundance in building wealth and prosperity, and then being able to share that with others in our community; whether that community is local or global. There is a lot of material and spiritual abundance to be experienced if we can go with the flow of this eclipse rather than resisting and fighting the change that is coming.
