Seeds to Water
Weekly Wellness Newsletter
There is some intense energy this week! Can you feel it? I sure can. I’ve been productive yet a little tired. Halloween is coming up and we have a New Moon in Scorpio on Friday, November 1st. The Sun also just entered Scorpio season last week…there’s a lot going on.
Scorpio, as some of us may know, is a water sign that is all about passion, intensity, emotions, and the subconscious mind. This energy reveals secrets and brings information to the surface so that you can become aware of it and consciously create transformations.
It helps you work on your shadow side and any subconscious patterns you have stored in your programming that still need healing. You might even feel the desire to be alone or retreat into your own version of darkness to ignite healing or transformation. I know I desire some alone time myself.
With all of this energy in Scorpio, we have the opportunity to go deep into our subconscious patterns, transform emotional blockages, and go inwards to grow on a spiritual level. The New Moon, representing beginnings and new intentions, is also supporting us in these transformations.
I felt drawn to choose a tarot card for insight on what this week’s theme should be, and I’m so glad I did! The card resonates with all of the cosmic energy that is happening this week. Take a look below at the Spiritual Message section for the card I pulled.
All of this energy inspired the theme of “Seeds to Water”. As we are experiencing the energy of rebirth with Scorpio and the desire to set new intentions with the moon, we may want to plant new seeds and say “yes” to feeling more enjoyable emotions to water those seeds and help them grow.
Body Scan Meditation.
Take a moment to sit somewhere comfortable, maybe in a chair with your feet on the floor or laying down on your back. Close your eyes and begin to focus on your natural breathing rhythm. Once you feel connected to your inner self and your breath, begin to do a body scan.
Start at the top of your head - at your crown chakra - and spend a moment here. Notice how the energy feels. Is it heavy or soft? Clouded or clear? Flowing or stuck? Do you have any tension or pain? Be the observer and notice if there are any emotions residing here or recurring thoughts that keep trying to come in. You don’t necessarily have to change anything, and do your best not to judge, just observe.
Once you’ve finished with the top of your head, move down to your third eye (on your forehead), and then your neck and shoulders. Then move to your heart center, maybe your arms and hands, solar plexus, and sacral chakra. Maybe you want to spend some time scanning your organs or other parts of your body along the way.
Then bring your awareness to your hips and your root chakra (near your tailbone), and continue down your legs, knees, ankles, and feet. In all areas of your body, just become aware of the energy, how you feel, and what thoughts might come about.
When you feel you’ve scanned everywhere you’d like to, slowly bring your awareness back into the room you’re in by wiggling your fingers and your toes and opening your eyes.
This a great way to tune into your body and your subconscious mind to get some feedback about where you might be holding on to energy or require more of it. You can do this exercise anytime you feel disconnected from your physical body. It strenghtens the mind-body-soul connection because you learn to listen to your body and trust your intuition; therefore, developing better communication.
Seeds in life can be many things. They could be new emotions that you want to nurture, new thought patterns that you want to grow, or new actions and habits that you want to develop. Seeds could also be new connections or friendships that you want to expand on or a new romantic relationship that you want to experiment with.
When we grow new seeds in our lives, we begin with intention. We decide that we want to spend energy in this area of our life or with a specific person. We imagine what we want the seed to eventually grow into and feel good emotions about how we will accomplish this. The intention, thoughts, and emotions then require actions to keep the seed nurtured and healthy.
Many times, we plant seeds only to never see them come to life. We expect that we can just have the intention for something to happen without putting energy into it. This simply won’t work. When we have an intention, we need to feed it with happy thoughts and feelings and the proper actions that will nourish it to life.
Ace of Cups.
The Ace of Cups represents vibrant beginnings when it comes to our emotional state, relationships, and intuition. It’s telling us “yes” to whatever question we might have about these areas of our lives and encouraging us to move forward while letting go of any emotional blockages that are holding us back.
Usually, Full Moons are the best time for releasing energy, emotions, people, or anything in our lives that is not serving us anymore. However, this New Moon in Scorpio is providing a similar energy to us because it is in the sign of transformation. Scorpio is ruled by Pluto, the planet of death and rebirth. So, although it is a good time to have new intentions, it’s also allowing us to release more of what we don’t need or want at this time in our lives.
Maybe there is an area in your life or a person that you are having a hard time forgiving. Or maybe you are being overprotective of your feelings which are not allowing you to open your heart up to new experiences or people. The Ace of Cups and the New Moon are supporting you right now in learning to forgive so that you can create profound transformation within your life. If you have a difficult time forgiving someone or something, and you’re holding onto the past, you can stunt your own healing and personal growth.
This week is the perfect time to plant seeds of love. This could be anything that will bring you closer to the feeling of oneness or bliss and feel more connected to your soul. This card is telling you to awaken your heart and say “yes” to feeling happier in life. Whatever that means for you. It could mean walking away from a romantic relationship to nurture yourself or leaving your job to do your passion full-time. Maybe you want to make some changes to your lifestyle for better health or finally go to that therapy or healing program you’ve been considering. Only you will know the answer.
The energy this week is ultimately reminding you of your power. The power you have over your thoughts, emotions, and actions, and the power you have to create amazing transformation by setting new intentions, planting those seeds, and nurturing them to grow.
Namaste.
With Love, Light, & Gratitude,
