Our Universe is Created by Consciousness
What are the different levels of consciousness and how do they create our reality?

What is Consciousness?
“Consciousness” is awareness, by definition. It is knowledge in and of itself. It is life.
All life comes from Divine Consciousness, the Source of all Creation. Many people call this consciousness God or Allah, Creator or a “Higher Power”. However you prefer to call this energy, it created this universe, this planet we’re on, the plants and animals here, and us as human beings. It created our Soul and is the highest dimension of our Soul. Its purpose is to create.
Plants and animals intuitionally know that they need sunshine, water, and minerals to survive and they navigate the world with their instincts to find these things. They naturally know that they must procreate to keep life going. They don’t think about why they are here and what they’re doing here, they are just being.
Humans are similar but also a bit different than animals. Yes, we do have our instinctual (animal nature) and intuitional (Divine nature) awareness, but we’re also created with a mind that thinks about why we’re here and what we’re doing here. We’re challenged with the choice of being with the natural flow of life or being something else. We have the power of free will and create our beliefs and habits based on the choices that we make. How we choose to perceive life and the experiences we have in life create our belief system.
A belief system is a set of principles (defended truths) that are created from our thoughts, feelings, and actions. We all receive information through our five physical senses: sight, taste, touch, smell, and sound. The information we receive from these senses are vibrational messages, energies that we’re receiving into our body and mind. This is how we operate in this world, through an energetic feedback loop of vibrational energy: frequencies. What we think, feel, and do create experiences that match those frequencies, and then those experiences influence what we think, feel, and do.
How we perceive our present experiences depends on our past programming and what level of consciousness we’re processing the information through. I believe we have four levels of consciousness: Divine Consciousness (our connection to All That Is, the Creator), our Mind Consciousness (which includes our Higher Self and our Ego), and a Subconscious (below our conscious awareness).
We can connect to or learn through all four levels of consciousness. The subconscious is the consciousness of nature, the ego is the consciousness of self, the higher self is the consciousness of the collective, and the Divine consciousness is the consciousness of the Creator.
Divine Consciousness
The Divine Consciousness is our spiritual guide, the part of our Soul that holds the blueprint from the spiritual realm of who we are and how we’ll be in this lifetime. It is our intuition, communicating to us through our psychic senses and through symbolism in the waking world. It’s the feeling of being nudged in the direction of your highest good; that “knowing” without knowing sensation. It’s taking action toward your life purpose as if a Higher Power was illuminating the way.
It is the part of us that chose to experience the challenges and opportunities in this world, in a physical human body with a polar mind, to learn, grow, and evolve the Soul. It is the connection between the Soul and Spirit. It is our God or Source energy.
The Higher Consciousness is our true essence, what we are made of: light and love frequency, electricity and sound.
Mind Consciousness
Our Mind Consciousness is our normal awareness and is split into a “higher-thinking” mind and a “lower-thinking” mind. It is our awareness of awareness you could say. The voice in your head that says, “I am” and then thinks “Who am I?”
It experiences the belief system. What we desire, our worthiness, and our self-esteem all reside in our mind consciousness. How we build relationships, communicate, and perceive our reality is also in this consciousness. It is where thoughts, feelings, and actions are processed.
The Higher Consciousness
Our Higher Consciousness or Higher Self is the higher dimension of our Soul, the higher-thinking mind that intentionally chooses positive thoughts, feelings, and actions. It is objective and aware of what it wants to create in ourselves and our life. It is aware of the beliefs, habits, and emotions that are holding us back in life and chooses to create new beliefs, habits, and emotions to experience. As the great Chinese philosopher, Lao Tzu, said, “The key to growth is the introduction of higher dimensions of consciousness into our awareness.”
This higher mind understands that we are all connected, on a Soul level, in a collective energetic field, as One. It connects to the Divine Consciousness to create reality with intuition and intention. When we are living from our Higher Self, we are in a “flow” and instead of forcing things into our life, they naturally flow to us. This higher dimension of our Soul does not manifest in space and time, but rather, outside of it.
We feel higher vibrational emotions in this consciousness, such as compassion, enlightenment, and grace. We experience acceptance, forgiveness, and unconditional love in this state of mind. The Higher Self comprehends the universal laws and works with them and Divine Consciousness to create Heaven on Earth.
The Higher Consciousness is our own inner coach, that voice we can hear that guides us to act with intention, connect with our intuition, process our emotions, and catch the thoughts that don’t serve us.
The Ego Consciousness
The Ego Self is subjective, thinking all about the self in general and what it needs to feel satisfied. Being the opposite of the Higher Self, it lives in lack (the opposite of bliss) and always wants more, more, more. It wants us to focus on ourselves and not others unless those others will benefit the self. It wants to be something separate from Divine Consciousness instead of being with Divine Consciousness.
“The ultimate aim of the ego is not to see something, but to be something.”
- Muhammad Iqbal, Philosopher
The Ego is a dimension of ourselves that, if we let it grow, can turn into a destructive force. Not only in our outer reality with the people in our life and the environments we’re in; but also in our inner reality in a self-destructive fashion. It is where we experience duality; pain vs pleasure, good vs bad, dark vs light, happy vs sad, etc.
Hence, it uses judgment and sees things as separate, disconnected: “you versus me” instead of “we are all One”. Living from this perspective is felt through time and space because it is coming from a physical viewpoint. The Ego focuses on the physical realm rather than the spiritual realm, enjoying materialism and a power of force or control to get more of what it wants.
It is through the Ego that the Soul experiences the natural laws in this physical realm. It challenges the Higher Self, and without it, we could not learn, grow, and evolve into enlightened beings. I believe that as long as we learn our lessons in each lifetime, we come into the next one with a more enlightened and evolved Soul. If we don’t learn our lessons, we reincarnate into a life that will have similar experiences so the Soul has a chance to learn again. This is Karma.
Our Ego has our self-interests in mind which are based on the past patterns and programs we have experienced and stored as beliefs. It believes it needs to be this way because of what is programmed in the Subconscious, but those could be perceived truths rather than Divine truths.
The Subconscious does not know the difference between Divine truth and perceived truth, it just stores perceptions from our experiences to tell us how to operate. If our Ego is leading our life, we are living based on perceived truths from our personal perspectives rather than living in Divine truth from Creator’s perspective.
The Ego Consciousness is our own inner critic, a voice that is guided by our subconscious programming and wants us to react to things instantly, making a judgement right then and there.
Higher Self vs Ego Self
Mind Consciousness is where we experience awareness of the thoughts we’re thinking and emotions we’re feeling. If we are aligned with our Higher Self, we will think nurturing and happy thoughts, feel positive emotions such as happiness and bliss, and do things that bring more of this energy into our life. It is a strong feedback loop that holds high vibrations and allows abundance and expansion.
If we’re living from our Ego, we will have thoughts of lack, feel the need to find what it is that we’re lacking and show this through our actions. This is a weak energy feedback loop that holds low vibrations, is never satisfied, and contracts the energy field.
The Subconscious mind is what stores these vibrational thought and feeling patterns in our body. If our Subconscious is operating on fear-based thoughts and feelings such as guilt, anxiety, stress, and depression, then we will have low-vibration programs and patterns running our system. On the other hand, if our Subconscious is operating on love-based thoughts and feelings such as contentment, joy, peace, and faith, then we will have a very high vibrational operating system.
Higher vibrations mean more inner power within us to attract what we want and create a life we love. We have the choice to grow our Higher Consciousness or our Ego Consciousness in this lifetime. Choosing the Higher Self is choosing the path to self-mastery and enlightenment.
Our Mind Consciousness is our Soul’s expression in this physical realm, either at its highest and most positive expression through Higher Consciousness or its lowest and most negative expression through Ego.
Subconscious
The Subconscious is the deepest part of ourselves; the hidden side. It is the consciousness that runs “behind the scenes”, so to speak. It is the awareness that designed our physical body and continues to do so.
Being the opposite of our Higher Consciousness, it is the Divine part of us that holds our programs and patterns in the physical realm and tries to keep us alive in this world. It stores all the information we perceive with our physical and psychic senses. It holds these experiences in the form of memories so that if you encounter a similar experience in the future, it can remind you of how you responded and you can choose how to respond this time.
Just as our Divine Consciousness communicates to our Soul through messages and symbols in the waking world, the Subconscious does the same in our dream world. There are messages and symbols in our dreams that we have the power to decipher and bring into our waking world. The Subconscious contains the information from our ancestors in our DNA and holds all the memories of our past Soul experiences from different lifetimes.
It is an awareness that is “on” 24/7. It is always at work, processing not only the information from our physical senses but also our psychic ones (our aura, chakras, and meridians). This awareness is the Divine intelligence that keeps our heart beating, lungs breathing, and digestive system working without us having to consciously make those things happen. Could you imagine having to tell your body what it needs to do all the time? That would be exhausting!
The Subconscious is our instinctual nature, our animal side, the automatic part of us that knows what we need to stay alive.
Life through Consciousness
The goal in life is to have peace and balance. Harmony. That’s what we all want in life and that’s what Creator, Divine Consciousness wants. We must work with all levels of consciousness in a balanced way. We are made from the stardust above (light and electricity) and the elements below (the chemicals that create matter on Gaia). Our bodies are a combination of both electricity (energy) and chemicals (matter), and we know that all matter is really just tiny subatomic particles (energy) holding an electric charge; therefore, everything is energy.
We are a part of the Heavens above and the Earth below. If we are too disconnected from the physical realm (Earth) and always want to be in the spiritual realm (Heavens), we are not balanced. The opposite is true as well. If we are disconnected from Source and too attached to the material world, we are not balanced. The goal is to experience Heaven on Earth; tapping into our inner Creator to manifest our physical reality with oour spiritual nature.
How can we do this?
We must lead our life from our Higher Consciousness and learn from our experiences. We must grow this part of ourselves to connect with the flow that our Divine Consciousness provides, teach the Ego, and rewire the Subconscious. This will create Heaven on Earth, first in your inner reality and then manifesting in your outer reality.
If not, if we lead from our Ego, we slowly drown the Higher Self and disconnect from Higher Consciousness (which means disconnecting from the Light and going into the Dark).
Some people lead their life with too much Divine Consciousness, which we see in people who meditate to the extreme, not wanting to be in their physical bodies experiencing this reality with other human beings. They’d much prefer to connect to Spirit and spiritual beings and live in higher dimensions than this realm.
Other people prefer to live their life in their Subconscious. These are people who want to escape into the darkness or feel like they have to live according to their current programs. It is a victim mentality with much suffering. We see this in people who want to be in a dream world more often than in the physical realm because they don’t believe they can create what they want. They alter their state of mind through substances and can develop serious mental health issues or illusions because they don’t know what is real and what is not.
We need to balance truth and illusions (reality versus dreams) and our Souls as a collective versus an individual. If we stay disconnected from each other, seeing ourselves as separate, we stay in the illusions of this material world and self-destruct. If we come together as a collective and resonate with Divine truth, we turn our dreams into reality.
